Gosnell attorney: Maybe a 16-week deadline for abortion and more regulation would be better

This was kind of a surprise.  Gosnell's attorney, still defending his client, makes a comment at the end of the interview saying that it would be better to have a 16 week limit to legal abotions and that they should be more regulated.  Found at hotair.com:

I’m not going to comment too much on this except to say it seems… important and unexpected. Kermit Gosnell’s attorney, Jack McMahon, spends 8:30 minutes defending Gosnell, proving himself to be one of the few still willing to align themselves publicly with the former abortion doctor, convicted of three counts of first-degree murder of infants this month. Having spent so much time with a late-term abortion doctor and defending him even post-conviction, one assumes McMahon is among the most understanding and lenient toward the pro-choice position of just about anyone in the country.

Abortionist Kermit Gosnell found guilty first degree murder

Even with nine of the twelve jurors in Gosnell's trial being pro-choice, the verdicts are in and Kermit is in trouble.  Human Events has this:

After long days of deliberation on over 250 counts, the jury in the trial of Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell returned guilty verdicts on three of the four first-degree murder charges against him.

Earlier in the day, the jury had reported itself deadlocked on two of the charges.

LifeNews reviewed the magnitude of the task facing these jurors:

If sentenced for the convictions, Gosnell could face the death penalty following the convictions by the jury in Common Pleas Court in Philadelphia.

Under Pennsylvania law, all 12 of the jurors must reach a unanimous verdict on any of the murder counts Gosnell faces for him to be convicted on any of them. Each of the elements of a charged crime must be proven to each juror beyond reasonable doubt for that juror to vote to convict on that count and one reluctant juror could lead to a mistrial on any of the first-degree murder charges.

Late-term abortionist says "It’s like putting meat in a crock pot"

Not just any late-term abortionist, either, but LeRoy Carhart, one of the most celebrated of his profession.  Carhart has been featured in pro-abortion literature and film and appeared on television - or at least he used to make those appearances, until a woman died after one of his abortions earlier this year.  Live Action sent two undercover reporters into Carhart/s clinic.  Both were told that the baby would be killed within the womb and left there for two or three days, which would make the baby like "meat in a crock pot."
